How does shipping and delivery work?

How Your Order Gets to You:

The Gun Dock is an online dealer. When you purchase a firearm from us, here's how the process works:

1. Place Your Order:

  • Purchase online at www.thegundock.com or through GunBroker
  • Submit your FFL dealer information during checkout

2. FFL Verification:

  • Email your FFL dealer's license to FFL@THEGUNDOCK.COM
  • We verify your FFL dealer with the ATF database
  • This typically takes 1-2 business days

3. Shipping:

  • Your firearm ships directly to your chosen FFL dealer
  • Items ship via FedEx or UPS with adult signature required
  • Tracking information is provided once shipped

4. Pickup at Your FFL Dealer:

  • Your FFL dealer will notify you when the item arrives
  • Complete Form 4473 and background check at your FFL
  • Bring a valid government-issued photo ID
  • Your FFL dealer may charge their own transfer fee

Tips:

  • Email your FFL copy to FFL@THEGUNDOCK.COM as soon as possible to speed things up
  • Make sure your FFL dealer is expecting the shipment
