Use the FFL Finder at Checkout
When you buy a firearm on www.thegundock.com, checkout includes a built-in FFL finder. Enter your zip code, pick the dealer you want to use, and we take it from there.
Choosing a Dealer
- Any licensed FFL dealer can receive your firearm: gun shops, pawn shops with an FFL, and many sporting goods stores
- Call the dealer before you order and confirm they accept incoming transfers
- Ask about their transfer fee. Fees vary by dealer and are usually in the $15-$50 range
- Ask how they want to be notified. Some dealers want a heads-up before a package arrives
If Your Dealer Is Not in the Finder
Use the contact form at www.thegundock.com/live/contact.php with the dealer's name, address, and phone number. We will add them and attach them to your order.
What Your Dealer Needs to Do
Your dealer needs to send us a current copy of their FFL. Most dealers email it to FFL@THEGUNDOCK.COM themselves. If we already have your dealer's license on file from a previous order, nothing more is needed.
Where the Transfer Happens
Your background check, Form 4473, and pickup all happen at your dealer, not at The Gun Dock. We are an online dealer and do not have a public storefront.
