GunBroker Specific Terms & Conditions

GUNBROKER SPECIFIC TERMS & CONDITIONS

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS:

By bidding on or purchasing any item through GunBroker.com from The Gun Dock, you agree to these specific terms in addition to our standard terms of service.

BIDDING & PURCHASING:

Bid Responsibility:

  • All bids are legally binding contracts
  • Winning bidders must complete purchase
  • Non-payment may result in negative feedback
  • GunBroker fees may be charged for non-payment

Reserve Auctions:

  • Some items have undisclosed reserve prices
  • Reserve must be met for sale to complete
  • Reserve price will be clearly indicated
  • Early ending possible if reserve met

Buy It Now:

  • Immediate purchase option available
  • Ends auction immediately
  • Payment due within 3 days
  • First come, first served basis

PAYMENT TERMS:

Payment Timeline:

  • Payment due within 3 business days
  • Late payment fees may apply after 7 days
  • Orders cancelled after 14 days non-payment
  • Relisting fees charged to buyer

Accepted Payment Methods:

  • Credit cards (3% processing fee)
  • PayPal (when available)
  • Cashier's check or money order
  • Personal checks (extended processing time)
  • Wire transfers for large purchases

SHIPPING & FFL REQUIREMENTS:

FFL Transfers:

  • Valid FFL required before shipping
  • Email FFL to: FFL@THEGUNDOCK.COM
  • FFL must be current and legible
  • We verify all FFLs with ATF database

Shipping Costs:

  • Calculated based on item size/weight
  • Insurance included in shipping cost
  • Adult signature required
  • No P.O. Box deliveries
  • FFL address shipping only

Processing Time:

  • 1-3 business days after payment clears
  • FFL verification adds 1-2 days
  • Background check processing varies
  • Tracking provided when shipped

RETURNS & WARRANTIES:

GunBroker Returns:

  • NO RETURNS on GunBroker purchases
  • All sales are final
  • Inspect items carefully before bidding
  • Ask questions before auction ends
  • "As-is" condition unless specified

Exceptions:

  • Significantly misrepresented items only
  • Must notify within 24 hours of receipt
  • Return authorization required
  • Customer pays return shipping
  • Restocking fee may apply

WARRANTIES:

  • Manufacturer warranties only
  • No additional warranties implied
  • Condition described to best ability
  • Photos represent actual item condition

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

Auction Descriptions:

  • All information believed accurate
  • Photos show actual item condition
  • Serial numbers may be partially obscured
  • Accessories included as described only

Questions & Communication:

  • Ask questions before bidding
  • Response within 24 hours typical
  • Email through GunBroker messaging preferred

Feedback:

  • Mutual positive feedback expected
  • Issues must be communicated before feedback
  • Negative feedback resolution attempted
  • Professional communication required

COMPLIANCE & LEGAL:

Federal Law Compliance:

  • All federal firearms laws apply
  • ATF regulations strictly followed
  • Interstate commerce laws observed
  • Prohibited persons cannot purchase

State Law Compliance:

  • Buyer responsible for state law compliance
  • Cannot ship items illegal in destination state
  • Magazine restrictions enforced
  • Assault weapons laws vary by state

AGE VERIFICATION:

  • 18+ for long guns
  • 21+ for handguns
  • FFL dealer verifies age at transfer
  • Valid ID required for pickup

PROHIBITED SALES:

  • No sales to prohibited persons
  • No straw purchases
  • Background check required
  • FFL transfer mandatory

DISPUTE RESOLUTION:

Problem Resolution:

  1. Contact us directly first
  2. GunBroker dispute process if needed
  3. Professional communication required
  4. Documentation of issues helpful

Cancellations:

  • Seller may cancel for cause
  • Non-payment cancellation after 14 days
  • FFL issues may cause delays
  • Refunds processed within 5 business days
