Can I bring my family/friends when picking up my gun?
GENERALLY YES, but with restrictions:
WHO CAN COME:
- Your spouse
- Adult family members
- Close friends
- Your kids (but they can't handle the firearms)
IMPORTANT RULES:
Only YOU can handle your firearm:
- You're the buyer - only you can touch/inspect it
- Others cannot handle, examine, or "test" your gun
- This prevents "straw purchase" issues
No "Shopping" for Others:
- Don't bring someone to help you "pick out" a gun for them
- Each person must buy their own firearms
- We cannot sell you a gun you're buying for someone else
Kids and Minors:
- Kids are welcome (supervised)
- They cannot handle any firearms
- Must stay with parent at all times
- We have a family-friendly environment
What Others CAN Do:
- Wait with you during paperwork
- Ask general questions about gun safety
- Look at accessories or other merchandise
- Learn about our services
What Others CANNOT Do:
- Handle your purchased firearm
- Answer questions on your behalf during transfer
- Fill out any paperwork for you
- Make decisions about your purchase
FEDERAL LAW:
- Straw purchases are serious federal crimes
- We must follow strict guidelines
- When in doubt, we'll ask for clarification
CONCEALED CARRY CLASSES:
- We offer group classes for families
- Great way to get everyone trained safely
Want to bring someone? No problem! Just remember - your gun, your paperwork, your hands only.
